How can this be?

Maybe you thought it was temporary... maybe you didn't. The truth is you were probably never told what to expect. Did you know that more than 30 days of prescribed use of benzodiazapenes is considered long-term use? Many people have ended up on them for years. The damage being done to people is not being talked about enough. The risks of long-term use of benzos are not expressed. Not only can Benzo use destroy your body physically, mentally, and emotionally; it can destroy your life. It can quietly seep in to tolerance and dependence; where your body can experience bouts of withdrawal and withdrawal like symptoms simply because it has developed a tolerance to your dosage or you have been prescribed the wrong antibiotics that effectively inhibit benzos from absorption. These are lessons we learned the hard way; through experience. Only after going through it were we able to identify what had actually just occurred. My hope is that in sharing some real talk about an otherwise overlooked subject, we can shed enough light on benzo use that you and your family don't have to do it the hard way.
